So I wanted to share with you all my idea of Hermione's emerald green dress in this chapter. I did a rough sketch but the colours would be slightly different, however, but I didn't really have the right coloured copic pens.
I also did a rough sketch of her dark mark. You can see the scribble on the right side of her waist. That would be her dark mark. On the left slightly in towards the middle you can see her thin white scar from where Draco stabbed her. It could not be seen in the dark of the deatheater's hall. but draco later sees it upon her in the light of dawn when he is under the dark power and tried to attack her.
It's not very good but at least you can get an idea of how it looks :)

ohh wow, now i love that dress. i would buy that dress. and i would wear that dress! Of course if i had the figure for it that is . . . and a function to wear it to. lol :)
ReplyDeleteyou're really talented, writing and drawing. I dont think im skilled in anything lol. Its how you do the colours in the pictures too, i just cant grasp how it works.
ohh and im loving your playlist! dont you just love sia! her music is just gorgeous. and dont you think that within temptations truth beneath the rose sounds just like phantom of the opera!? that must be deliberate. And i love a good classical song or two or more as well :D

ReplyDeleteI showed my mum both dresses thinking she'd prefer the ball gown but no no! I was like mum, you would KILL me! If I wore that dress or I brought it or even looked at it in a longing manner! lol. But yeh I wanted it to look hurrendously sexy and seductive and of course it had to show off her dark mark.
As for the drawing, they're coloured in copic markers (so expensive!) But they're amazing to work with. If you ever feel like taking a gander at my other stuff there's some on here: http://rain7777.deviantart.com/ Including other stories.
As for the music. I'm a bit eclectic with it. BUT I do love Sia's Breathe me and was slightly annoyed when I listened to it a couple of years before it really hit the main stream. BUT I'm glad she got the publicity she deserved for it. I like dramatic music but it all depends on what I'm writing. It helps me get in the mood so like Prometheous Rising is all the war type scenes and it really gets me in the zone. I totally agree with what you said about Within Temptation. I LOVE their music as you might have guessed.
You don't know how to do traiiler videos do you? I wana make a decent one for Youtube based on the fic but have no idea how to get hold of the clips :( sad times... anyways its now almost 6am, i've been up all night writing and now I need sleep :)

ohh totally agree with you about the main stream thing. Whenever i find good music and its basically unheard of or even a track by a famous artist but it hasnt been released yet, "im like thats my song! i found it a year ago, liked it before you even knew who they were!". And i adore sia's "my love" even though its all over twilight, which kinda detracts from its goodness.
ReplyDeleteAnd i love reading fight and war scenes to all that powerful music, makes me imagine it almost all happening in slow motion, or like a saving private ryan / braveheart type moment.
And nooo sorry i dont. I love fanvids though. Well love good ones, lol :P
The only thing i can suggest is going on the dark arts forum (or one similar) and either ask for help + info on getting the clips if you fancy a crack at it yourself or actually put in a request on the requests board there for someone to do the video for you. Or do the same thing on youtube, ask a video creator who's vids you like if they can direct you to the clips/help you out or even directly ask someone there.
Orrrr do both! Then if a few people do pick ot up, its never a bad thing to have a few fanvids! :)

The fanvids are always better when either they decide on a set of actors to portray each character, not necessarily the actual HP ones, or when they use the HP clips as well as ones from say emmas other modelling shoots, or other things theyve been in and like background shots from other films. Like some, they use shots of emma from her burberry campeign video, she has really heavy eyeliner so she looks quite dark. : )
